thats not a good thing to do if your hands arent clean. also this doesnt help prepare u for contacts because when u wear contacts its the lens thats touching your eye not your finger so its a different feeling. just some more advice: ALWAYS wash your hands before u put in your contacts. The smallest particle will irritate your eyes until ur forced to take the contacts out and clean them, which can be a real pain.

To put on your contact is okay, but if you're doing it just for the heck it doesn't really matter as long as your fingers are clean.
Don't do that though...putting a contact on is very diffrent from just touching your eye. Besides you'll get LOTS of practice. Believe me.

I prefer not to touch your eyes with your fingers because it can infect your eyes of it may cause itchiness and a red eye/ pink eye. Some doctors say if you constantly touch your eyes you may not see well in the other hand go blind. So for your own safety do not touch your eyes with your fingers! Only do it if you put on contacts!

It's normal to experiment. I'm not going to say it's wrong like everyone else has said, but a word of advice...a large part of society will not view this as "normal" so if you do plan on continuing this relationship, be prepared for obstacles in the future (when people find out). Personally, I'm going to have to say no to this whole situation, sorry. Good luck. :)

Yes. You can do it. Just make sure you have clean hads so that you don't get an infection. I just had my 2 week exam on monday of last week. And with practice you will be able to get your contacts in under a minute.
Hope you love them as much as I do,
Emilia

The sclara has no nerve endings.. (the white part) you can touch that all you want. The inside of the eyelids and the clear bubble window in front of the color part of the eye (conjunctiva (lids) cornea(clear window)) have nerve endings and you will feel it when you touch them.
The Dr. will have someone on staff to teach you how to handle your new lenses and how to insert and remove them..
Good luck

Just make sure your hands are clean when you touch your eye because you don't want to put any bacteria into your eye or get an infection.
