I know what you are going through, I got it done on neck 4 weeks ago and the results have come back as inflammation of the lymph node and they don't know whats causing it, it is very small and practically disappearing but I have to see the ENT doctor on Monday to arrange more scans and blood tests and possible a lumber puncture, my own doctor told me that on the neck it is probably something to do with the spleen or liver - I am not a drinker and I perfectly health, slightly over weight. If they done the biopsy the other day and getting results on Wednesday it is very quick but I am sure they will have the results by now and would have phoned you if the worst had been found. Good luck.

The waiting for test results has to be the worst part about cancer diagnosis and cancer treatment.
The only thing I can suggest is to keep your mind busy, watch funny movies, do some craft, anything, just keep busy.
Staying positive is very important too. You don't want to let yourself get too down. You must be strong.
I hope that everyone works out well for you, I'll send all my positive thoughts your way.
Good luck.

I had Cancer and hey look, here i am alive and well.
It's not so long ago when Cancer was a death sentance but no longer, modern drugs and techniques mean that many are curable, many are treatable and the vast majority survive.
So ok, it was a very hard time and i lost a kidney but the emotional side your going through right now is in many ways worse then the physical pain from the operation.

I swear that week of waiting has got to be worse than being told the results and people telling you it'll be ok doesn't help in the least!
Try to remain positive to keep yourself in a state of mind that will help you deal with it. Keep yourself busy to reduce the time spent dwelling on it.
I started my wait eating chocolates and sitting around watching tv but after a couple of days of that I realised that there was a character on every movie who had cancer which caused me to bawl my eyes out, so I threw myself into to kids' school and helped out with anything going.
My result was positive but the prognosis is also positive. Best of luck and a cyber hug - you won't be alone in the wait.

Nikki, yes, I have been through this waiting game as well! I had a tumor in my parotid gland (the largest saliva gland) and they bioped it three times...each time, it was inconclusive. I was sent to the "best" oncologist in our area. He called in a doctor who only does biopsies, for the University Hospital. He too, got three biopsies! All three, again, inconclusive!
Well, because of where the tumor was located (cancer highway) the Oncologist did not want to wait long for surgery! As soon as they could, I was scheduled for surgery. In the end, it was indeed, a tumor which was growing very fast as it had grown into my head just within a two week period! However, once removed....it proved to be benign! Thank God!
Nikki, keep your faith and pray! I know this helped me through this time of waiting. I too, will be praying for you and for your siituation. May God bless you and give you peace as you await your test results.

Well I went for a biopsy end of Sept and was told on the day it was likely to be cancer because it felt clinically suspicious, what was seen on ultra sound and also what was drawn from it using a needle and syringe.
Was told to return the following week.....sadly it was and now I am under going chemotherapy.
So my point is IF the Dr who did biopsy felt it was likely to be cancer he/she would have mentioned it. As this was what happened with me, I am young to and to get this dreadful disease at any age is hard.
Fingers crossed for you xx xx

One thing I Know for sure dear Nikki, and that is Try not to worry! You must think Positive. Someone said " what you think is what you get"...Well, I don't know about that, but I do know you are not doing yourself an ounce of good by worrying. Every time you begin to worry dear, Just ask God to forgive you, and start Praying. He already knows what is ahead...Trust Him To show you a victory Soon. Be strong in Jesus .....Lean on Him! God has sufficient Grace and Favor for YOU. I will be Praying that God smothers you with His Peace, and Has His Healing Hand ready for You if Needed. Read Jeremiah 33:3 For encouragement & Security. In Jesus Name We ask these Favors Lord.

Been there, waiting for the result this next week. Stop worrying, your GP will let you know very quickly if it's bad news. If not you will get a letter asking you to go for a consultation. Malignant or benign thee lumps can be removed now that they have been diagnosed early.
I wish you all the best and will mention you when I pray for myself.

The doctor is the person to ask. Asking for medical advice here is asking a crowd of strangers that you don't know or have any reason to trust. That includes me.
I hope your doctor has answers for you on Wednesday.
