i had my belly button pierced without having it frozen and i didnt find it sore.
its uncomfortable at first and you feel the needle going in but honestly its over that fast that there really is no point getting the freezing spray anyway..
and no you dont need a completely flat tummy. ive not long had triplets, i had a c section, and im just back into a size 10. i dont think my tummy will ever be defined or toned but i still love my piercing.
get it done! you wont regret it.

I had my belly button peirced about 8 weeks ago and im really pleased. I lay down on the bed and the man dis infected the area, then he made me stand up and he clamped my skin, that felt like a little pinch but it was more discomfort than pain and it was bearable. I lay back down while he still clamped my skin and i felt him fiddling around. When he said he had done i didn't belive him because i didn't feel a thing! he put a plaster over it and told me to leave it on for an hour. when i took the plaster off i cleaned my belly button peircing. it hurt for a few days after when i bent down but it soon went off. just make sure you clean it twice a day with whatever the peircer recommends and dont change the belly bar before 6 weeks and you should be fine! good luck x

It doesn't hurt. It's a quick pinch & it's over. The clamp they place on your stomach prior to the piercing is more uncomfortable than the piercing itself. And if you're going with a friend - you can always hold their hand.Piercers recomend 6-8 weeks before you change the ring. I changed mine in 4 but it depends on how comfortable you are and how well yours heals. Seeing it through a fitted shirt depends on the ring you have in. Riding horses might get uncomfortable cuz your pants might rub against the piercing. It doesn't really interfere with your everyday life... I've gotten might caught on jeans or a t-shirt every once in a while but nothing too bad. Good luck!

Hey!
Don't worry! I got mine last April (im 15) and I thought it didn't hurt at all (I didn't get it frozen)! It just feels a little weird after (Like a stretching feeling) . Its a little sore for about a week (or less) after but its not unbearable.
You don't have to have a flat stomche to get it done it doesn't matter as long as you have a inny belly button. Some peircers can do outys but it doesnt look as good.
Good luck!

i've had mine pierced for 3 years now.
i didnt have the freezing solution for mine, and all i felt was a pinch. then, it was over.
as for other piercings, it will be sore for a week or so.
no, you do not have to have a completely flat belly button.
also, someone above me said that you cannot go into a pool/hot tub for 6 months, that is NOT true at all.
the aftercare is very important.
and just think of it this way: a little bit of a pinch is all worth it in the end.
good luck :]

I had mine pierced without freezing and felt nothing, I lay there for a few seconds and the woman said "You can go now..", lol, I didn't even feel it going in. Its an easy piercing to look after and if you want it you should go for it, don't regret not having it done when you're older

i had mine done
and yes it honestly does hurt somewhat but it'll over fast
if you just keep in mind "no matter how much this may hurt i really want this done...it will be worth it after"
its sore for a week or so after and you may bump it a few times which will hurt. but in the end it will be fine
the lady who did mine pierced it....messed up ...pierced it again...messed up again.....and repierced it
all in a row.....now THAT hurt but i just kept in mind ithat when it was over with i would have it pierced and i know i would love it.
and look! i lived to tell.
just go and experience it. What do you have to lose?
