i like this guy in my language arts class, i'm pretty sure he likes me too, but i cant tell for sure, and if he does like me, how do i tell him, without actualy telling him?

Why don't you tell him by telling him. I don't know if you've noticed it, but guys are not good at taking subtle hints. If you want to make sure we've reliably processed your intent, you need to communicate things clearly...that eliminates the possibility of confusion creeping into the mix. Good luck to you.
