My girlfriend has been being bitchy for like a week and after every little argument she apologizes and says she is sorry and she really should not be taking her anger out on me. She said part of her anger is that I dont fully trust her...basically because of her past (drinking and hooking up). Then today she said she wants and open relationship...but not meaning to hook up with other guys. anyone ever in a situation like this?..what does it mean?>

she also keeps asking me "why dont you like me"....when i gave her no reason to think i dont.

Your girlfriend sounds like a professional victim. In her apology for taking her anger out on you, she's blaming you for it because you "don't trust her" due to her past. If that's true, it's ridiculous since it was pre-you. As for her behavior, there's no excuse for it, she needs to grow up. In a relationship, you are each others' base, and that person helps you through everything--including anger. The fact that she wants an open relationship is a sign that she doesn't want one at all, because one, an open relationship by definition is when two people want a Plan B while they run around with whoever they choose. A (romantic) relationship by definition is when two people who have feelings for each other, care for each other, and share emotinal intimacy, and in some cases, physical as well.

Well there could be a few things going on. Depending on how old she is (late teens-early 20s) she could be bi-polar. She could have the mild version called cyclothmania. Another thing is she really could have been pmsing. I know I am quick to apologize when i have been pmsing (cause most girls can be bitchy.) Or she could be having doubts about your relationship, and therefore rather than tell you and talk it out she is holding in all these feeling, which is causing her to act nasty toward you. And she might have already hooked-up with someone, which is why she wants a open relationship or may have met someone she wants to hook-up with. Hope this helps! Good Luck!**

By open relationship she means that she wants you to be her Plan B while she fools around with whoever she wants.
