its kind of a let down and they probably feel bad about it. I had two girls I was hoping to "shag" but they they forgot to call. well whatever.

Well....it just makes the person that you got the number from have a confusing day for the weeks u say u would call but u never did.

I don't consider it bad when in retrospect you realize the girl you went on a double date with never once spoke to you first, only answered when you asked her a question. Oh, no she wasn't shy and she talked up a storm with the other couple but later I found out she was mad because I didn't call her. I figure if she couldn't initiate a conversation with me, she didn't deserve the respect of a call back.

it's not bad just a bit silly really..why get the number if you're not interested..that's life though..so i guess she'll just put you down on the list of 'fools not to bother with'. Bad for you I guess. Work on your weakness and inability to say 'no' or set appropriate boundaries and you may find life gets easier

It's just as rude as asking for a number and never using it.I have about 6 guys out there right now who begged me for my number yet I don't here from a single one of them and that just pi**es me off!!It takes 10 seconds to punch it in.You should never take one or ask for one unless you use it.

I believe it's very different with guys and girls. Guys see it as a status thing. "Oh look! I'm cool enough to get her number!" Girls see it as a real "I'm gonna call you" thing. Bottom line: Don't ask for a girl's number if you don't plan to call. That's downright shady.

If it was given to you after you asked for it and never called, that's a waste of her time and yours.
If you gave it to someone else after they asked, and they never called you, it's rude of them, or maybe they just weren't that interested to begin with, bottom line.

I hope it's not too bad; I've done it once. Didn't like the girl. Made me feel a touch guilty to be honest. :|
