I agree with you! Geena Davis and Rod Lurie sum it up pretty well:
""So many countries have had a female head of state before us. So it is certainly time. I think it's appalling that we haven't yet. The crime is not that it's taken so long, but why haven't we done it yet?" (Geena Davis)
"Females represent 51 per cent of the country and it's absurd that they're not represented in the highest level of power, and not even given that opportunity. There's a lot of firepower in the world, ladies and gentlemen. There's lots of it, but there's no weapon as powerful as an idea whose time has come." (Rod Lurie)
But, don't get me wrong. I would never vote for a female candidate based on her sex alone.

American women have only had the right to vote since 1920. They still do not have completely equal rights as women continue to make much less than men in same jobs. Although slavery was abolished, the US was an apartheid country until the 1960's when it began to change after extreme social protest and political upheaval.
The United States is a very racist and sexist country. Women and blacks do not hold high office in the percentage of population that they represent as they do in other countries.
Germany, Ireland, UK, India, Pakistan, Philippines, all countries which have had women leaders. The United States will not elect Hillary because of our sexism. The Zogby poll shows Hillary losing against all of her possible Republican opponents. We still aren't there yet.

Point taken. Women have capably run other countries throughout the world with honor, courage, and distinction, so why not the USA? I'm really not that surprised that the "good ol' boy" network chimes in to bash the notion of a woman president, but I was really taken aback by how much female opposition that idea has encountered...but then again, at the conclusion of slavery there were some slaves who wanted to remain in the relative safety and familiarity of bondage, so I guess against that startling backdrop this makes some sense. Personally, I'm more than willing to give female leadership a chance. The "good ol' boy" network has brought us to the brink of disaster, and it must stop.

What does it matter? Originally in America, the president was the person who was best for the country, and now, it's whoever the rich and powerful want the president to be. The reason is, there were alot of good men for the job in the past, and more recently (within the past 50 years) America stopped being a great country and became very corrupt and so the president isn't whoever is voted for. Another reason could be, how many women have tried to run for presidency?

No, it isn't free and equal and some people are trying to change it.
Some women have become brain washed by the media, men's expectations and other women.

I think one of the main reasons women wouldn't make very good presidents and pretty much anyone who has delt with a woman that was in power would agree, women don't compromise nor do they negotiate well, it's either their way or no way and you cant run a country with that mentality. In my job I've interfaced with many women in power and none of them were willing to give up anything to get what they wanted. it's very hard to work with people that don't negotiate or compromise.
