As soon as they have teeth that can chew it. Typically right around 3 years old. It also depends on the kind of sauerkraut. The canned stuff is easier to chew than fresh stuff (most people don't cook it long enough).

Both sets of grandparents made their own sauerkraut. Yummy. I still have the crock, but haven't made it for about 15 years.

If its home-made you might want to wait until baby is over a year or more, if its store bought and canned it'll have been heated and is safe.
