All religions, especially 3 Divine Religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are conteding against each other leaving the field wide open for rejectionists of faith.
The differences between them is marginal. There are more commonalities than differences . Every religion focusses on
morality, good neighbourly behaviour, rights of parents etc.
Every religion prescribes some sort of punishment to those who indulge in adultery or fraud.
Last night I watched a mobile ad. showing young boys and girls dancing intimately. This is illegal in all the three religions. Why good men among all the three religions do not discuss the problems 21st century has posed to the religions?. Lack of shame, carelessnes re children and parents etc are major problems for all believers.A concerted attack is being led by non believers that has torn the social fabric apart.
Can't we agree on a minimum code of conduct , so that we could stop satan from taking its toll from us ?

I am not asking to break law or interfere in people's life.but am suggesting reaching consensus on important issues.
For example, abortion, same sex marraige and adultry is sinful according to most religions. If a move is made by
some people to enact a law which allows these sins, we should combine and block its way.
Showing pornography etc on the media is also objectionable, but many religious
people do not give a damn to it. But talk
endlessly on minor religious disputes,
which is very disappointing.
Some people think there is no commonality between religions. But if
you look closely, you will find that:
There is Only One God, who is Eternal, Omnipotent and Omnpresent who owns the universe.
He loves us humans and sent His message through His prophets, to guide us . We must enact His will by
consen
He wants us to lead a pious and purposeful life, being His highest creatures. So we must create
a society where God's will is enforced
by consensus.

Well, first and foremost, the First Amendment guarantees Freedom of Religion. This means anyone can believe in anything and worship whom they want, when they want in the manner they wish...it also means you don't have to worship anything....nor can laws be passed giving priority to believers or nonbelievers.
Second, what is "disgusting" to you isn't necessarily so to others. What your faith considers "illegal" has no bearing on what others believe.
Thirdly, one doesn't need to have a religious faith to be moral, be a good neighbor or be kind to others.
Fourth, 60% of men and 40% of women cheat on their spouses..... how would you propose punishing a majority of citizens. And, with those statistics, there would be an equal number of religious screwballs and nonbelievers.
Five, what you find shameful has no bearings on another that might not find shame in it.
Six, you cannot legislate conduct, morality, religious beliefs, thoughts, ideas, behavior...beyond the law that adresses criminal behavior.
Seven, Those who are so self-involved that they think THEIR way is the only correct way are usually bigoted, intolerant people.

If everyone answered or asked the question with respect we might overcome all of that. There are a few bad apples that spoil the whole barrel. I do not mind disagreement I do mind being insulted for my beliefs. I mind being called an Idiot and put down. If someone asks a question about who deleted the question before everyone starts pointing fingers at each other. I think that there are people on here who deliberately start those "fights" by deleting and by saying hateful things to stir everyone up. They do not care about discussion or debate they like to keep people at each other for entertainment. So I say, respect is the only way we can do this. It is not the whole but a few who make it hard on all of us.

Because you cannot. Simple as that.
Your morality is no better than mine -- worse, in fact, as I need only my common sense to tell me right from wrong, whereas believers seem to need a book "written" by a non-existent deity to keep them on the straight and narrow.
Tend to your own soul; mine is none of your concern.

"Faith" is not the point. You can have 'faith' in all sorts of contradictory things. Jews believe in the One God. Christians believe in the Saving Work of Jesus Christ. Muslims believe in the words of 'Gabriel'. There simply isn't much commonality between them.

I'm sorry you need a rule book to figure out how to play nice with others.
You do realize that you all far outnumber us, correct? So, who exactly are the ones killing, raping, and maiming? It sure as hell isn't the atheists. (pun intended)

You cannot force religion on a person. They must find that road on their own.
