I went to a party last night and some of the guys there were drinking Jagermeister. I just think that it is for girls only. I drink bourbon and beer. Why do some guys drink girly drinks such as Jagermeister and sex on the beach?

I personally think it is disgusting and only enjoyed by frat boys and rednecks.

Though I can't argue with the proving masculinity part I can argue with the drink beer from a glass. The idea that it should be consumed from a bottle was a marketing ploy by the major American brewers. The reasoning behind it is that pouring your beer into a glass allows it to warm up faster and beers from Bud, Miller, Coors and the like need to be kept as cold as possible to mask the flavor. REAL beer should be served at a temp of 45-55 Celsius and should always be poured for several reason the two most important being 1) it agitates the carbonation releasing flavors and aroma and 2) the head protects the beer from oxygen which can effect the taste.

Blegh, jagermeister is nasty.. I've never seen a girl drink it.. The only person I've ever seen drinking it is some 60 year old guy I knew from work.. He'd drink it warm right out of the bottle...
The only time I've seen a guy order something like Sex on the beach, or a BJ is when he's trying to see if a chick's easy.. lol

I don't consider Jager girly at all... it's just a shot like any other. As for Sex on the Beach and other drinks of that nature -- so people drink what they like, does it matter? Some people abhor the taste of alcohol but like to get a nice buzz. Juice and some of the other sweeteners in 'girly' drinks help mask the taste. I don't think guys should be deterred by the name of a drink. I served plenty of juice mixed cocktails to men in the past.

It's a trendy waste of time. Anytime you and 10 of your friends have to do a shot of the same drink at the same time all throughout the night then you are an amature drinker.
Having said that, Jager is 70 proof. That's a decent shot in my book. I'd say that it's a man's drink in a girlie wrapper.

Since there's a rumor that Jagermeister is made from fermented deer blood, I would automatically assume that most girls wouldn't want to drink it. Thankfully, it is not true.

I'm not a liquor person. However, I think lite beer and wine coolers are girly , and I don't drink them. I like good, dark, hoppy beers, international beers ,specialty beers, etc. I cut my teeth on Bud. My favorite is Warsteiner.

what the heck is a girly drink? if you distinquish drinks as being girly, your manhood is not in tact, grow up, so you drink bourbon and beer, is that what you call a manly drink? a drink is a drink, alcohol is alcohol, it all puts you there, even drinks on the Islands that are served with umbrellas and fruit.
