My live plants look like something is eating holes in them! It’s almost like as if some kind of bug was eating on them. Does anyone know what this could be caused from?

My plants are probably 2-4 weeks old. I bought them from a local pet store and I do think that it is likely that they could have already been infected when I got them. How do you treat plants for these kinds of infections? I also forgot to mention that I do have a Pleco. It does seem to feed on them, but it's hard for me to tell if it's eating on them or just cleaning something off of them.

it is most likely the fish, as in the seas and oceans, they eat green stuff to help clean their gills. but plants also can get infectins as they have cells and such so infections can get in, but the fish haveing a nibble is more likely.

Plecos can only scrape things off the leaves if it can push them against something to hold the leaves in place. Otherwise, they'd just move around in the water or he would shred them by chewing. The fish wouldn't leave little holes. It's more likely they were chewed by small snails. Better look around in your tank. There's one kind with a long shell that only comes out of the gravel at night so you may not know they are even in your tank.

Its possible for aquarium plants to get infections but mine only ever seem to get infected with snails or brush alage growing on them.
