A holy and righteous God has no choice but to allow you to make up your own mind about where you want to spend eternity. If He arbitrarily said, "OK, everybody gets to go to Heaven, irregardless of what they've done," then this planet would be in even worse shape than it already is. Anyone would be free to commit sin, knowing there would be no punishment for it.

And even though God is good, understanding, and forgiving, He has standards, too. A judge may be good, understanding, and forgiving, but he's still obliged to punish those who break the law. God is merciful, but you still have to do your part and follow His rules.

The only way to Heaven is by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He was the perfect sacrifice for sin, and whether anybody likes it or not, we have to play by God's rules. Jesus Himself said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no man comes to the Father except through Me." That is the condition for going to Heaven: you either meet God's conditions or you don't, your choice.

So that's how God can be loving and fair, yet allow people to choose hell.

The same kind of a God Who would provide a way to escape it. Did you know who preached on Hell the most in the Bible? Jesus Christ Himself! If anybody says there is no Hell, they are calling Jesus a liar. If Jesus said it, that settles it, period.

Besides, God won't send us to Hell. If anybody goes there it's because they have rejected or walked away from everything God has provided to warn people about what's coming.

Someone made the comment about preaching Hell. All right, I would rather be scared or made fearful enough about Hell to want to get away from it and take advantage of Christ's gift of salvation. This may not tickle your ears but the Word of God declares it to be so.

So it's really your choice. The Bible declares that there is only one way to God--through Jesus Christ. He has given you a declaration of the present condition, a way to make forgiveness of sin possible, and a revelation of what awaits everyone: those who believe and those who don't. Which choice will you make?

Not the God that I believe in... my God is my friend before he is my saviour or whatever... and I do things for my friend as he needs me to, and he does things for me as I need him to... he has never threatened me about hell, but he has always shown me the right path to walk on when I can't decide it for myself...

If you ask me, no Religion preaches in its own essence to believe or not to believe in a faith. All religions preach only to understand the essence of a superior power, and its different manifestations perhaps...

It's only the people who misinterpret those teachings that go for the threatening part, because they don't understand it themselves, and they don't expect others to question it either...

Hell was first created for the devil and his angels. When you let the devil decieve you - you are one of his followers so you spend eternity with him .It's not religion that threatens you with Hell . It's your self- if you go to Hell it's because you choose that road . God is forgiving - you have every chance now for his forgivness now. But after your life is over there's no chance at all- you wasted your life and so you pay the price for it. Now is the appointed time!

Only a Christian God. Apparently, that God is trying to send the intelligent minded people to be in Satan's army while keeping the morons. Does that sound like an all-knowing God?!

As far as God is concerned it is His house therefor His rules. Either make an agreement with Him whereby you can follow His household rules or leave existence permanently. He dearly wants all His children with him in His house . Lose the pride and go for the gold.

Whoever had no chance to be teached in this world would have his chance in due time, hell is just a spiritual state compared to a lake of fire but no an actual place.

Those who after their chance had not believed will be judged like the rest and put in a place according to their deeds.

16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Man CHOOSES hell or heaven, by his rejection of Christ, or acceptance of Christ!

Yes,Christianity.Especially in the southern U.S. The Baptists love to scream or preach about hellfire & brimstone. No truely merciful, forgiving ,loving God would send anyone to such a place,if they had asked for forgiveness. The old testament & new contradict each other, like there are 2 kinds of God.Lutheran's base their faith on Ephesians Chapter 2 verses 8-9.Not by your works (deeds) are you saved ,but because of his grace & mercy.
