1) If you get an allowance, you can use that to pay her back.

2) If the above isn't an option, you can do some odd jobs for neighbors to get the money to pay her back.

I'm sure you have heard this from nearly everyone, but it bears repeating: don't take things that aren't yours. If you were an adult and did this, you'd be in jail and have a criminal record that would follow you for the rest of your life. Every time you'd go to get a job, you'd have to let prospective employers know that you stole something. Fortunately, you're 13 and I'm hoping this is a first (and only!) offense, so it won't come back to bite you later on. However, they are getting tougher on teens who commit crimes, so sooner or later, if you keep doing this, they won't take your age under consideration when deciding a punishment. Learn from this and don't ever let it happen again!

Should have thought before you acted, now you have to pay up. Bet you think before you do something like that again. If you live where it snows, get out your snow shovel, and get to work. If you don't, ask your neighbors if they have chores that you can do to earn some money. In our town, a boy the same age as you, stole a truck, caused a 5 car pile up, killed a very beloved man in our town, and crippled his wife for life. Now think about that, when you think of stealing again.

Well, you could offer to do chores for your parents that you normally don't do for whatever they'll pay you. For example, shovelling the walk, or mowing the lawn, cleaning the house, washing the dishes and so on.

Another option is to get a job, but I'm not sure if any place would hire you because you are young.

Why did you steal the purse? You need to examine your motives in that. I can't say that I blame them, for being mad at you.

Talk to your parents, about chores you can do, to earn the money to repay the girl.

Well, that wasn't a very nice thing to do. To get the money, start babysitting or working for your parents to earn it. Then in a few weeks you'll get enough money. Also, send her a card saying that you're sorry.

Gee, I dunno -- since you aren't a very good thief, I guess you're going to have to try something different.

Tell your parents what happened and borrow the money from them. Then you'll have to pay them back by babysitting, doing chores, etc. And, hopefully, be punished for theft.
