Music is very powerfull it can effect your emotions in a powerfull way. You say you are catholic then seriously read the lyrics in his music he makes some points that can be valid in the world today but as catholics I do not think his music will uplift your spirit in the way God would want it to be, every one is different and are effected differently by music I use to be a fan of manson and when I was I was a daily alcohol and drug abuser manson didnt make me do drugs but it felt good to listen to him while I did them so my final answer would be for me YES it is bad for you to listen to him.

It is bad to listen to his music, and it is sad that you are Catholic. You see, if you were a born from above true believer, you would not want to listen to marilyn manson. You would only want things that glorify God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Yes, you can't believe and support somebody satanist as he is..My kids try to tell me it's alright ..My daughter calls him her god and has run away with somebody from my space is on drugs and thinks she's is a vampire...
When the weak or the young feed their minds with the negative it has an effect of course there are many factors in why my daughters choice in the path shes on but
music has a l part in her demise because she is weak minded and extremely rebellious...When you are young you are impressionable... This is a true story and is happening as I write the truth about what you put into your mind!!!!!!!
There is nothing good about emulating the Gothic belief system..Study about the topic and you will find the very root of
negativity and where it originates from...

fear of such music comes from a Calvinist streak in American culture. if you go to Catholic countries they are generally free and easy about musical entertainment. the biggest issue to have with manson is that he uses controversy to conceal his lack of originality and talent.

According to you church it's not.Live like Hell during the week and just go to confession on Sunday and all is well.
