I know of a couple. On the west Coast there is the Pacific Crest trail that goes form Mexico to Canada Via CA, Oregon, and Washington. There is the Appilachain trail on the East coast that goes form georgia to Maine. Then ther is the Conitnetal Divide trail that goes through the Rockies. The American Discovery Trail is currently being but It will go form San Farnsico to Delaware.

Appalachian trail !!!! its awsome u will meet tons of cool hikers. it goes from springer mt. georga to mt. katadin maine.
i hiked a 150 mile sect. when i was 14 and then another 50 miles last summer. my 2 week hike on the A.T. was the best time i ever had. good luck

Appalachian trail goes from Maine to Georgia, of course you can just hike any portion you want.

The Continental divide is really pretty. I have hiked some of it. I believe it starts in TX and ends in Canada. I hiked the part in Colorado.

Besides those mentioned, there are some great lesser known trails in the US, such as the Arizona Trail, Colorado Trail, and Pacific Northwest Trail.

Glacier National Park. My husband and I did this one, its not really long but its 2 miles uphill but it was worth it, most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Its the avalanche lake trail, heres what you get to see at the end... http://www.math.montana.edu/activities/ken/bowers8.gif
