I believe angels are male. Angels were not at any time human. Michael, Gabriel, and Lucifer are the only ones mentioned by name. It will be a glorious day when we do know for sure.

The Bible doesn't mention if there are female angels. The only angels mentioned are male but that doesn't mean there can't be others. Also, as to everyone who says the Bible is against women hasn't read about the women of the Bible such as Deborah, Esther, Mary and many others. Men definitely had a distinct role but God created women as well and they are equally as important to him.

There are only 2 angels mentioned in the Bible:

Michael

9But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"

& Gabriel

19The angel answered, "I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news.

They both appeared as males.

Satan WAS an angel, but he is fallen

The answerer who states that angels are not mentioned in the Bible as being male is incorrect. The one example I will use is from the book of Tobit (in the Catholic Bible, but King James ordained it as apocryphal, and not included in KJ version),which has the angel Raphael speaking to Tobias, son of Tobit, and all references are to 'him' and 'he' (Tobit 5:4-12). This is the same angel who lied to Tobit (Tobit 5:12) when he said he was someone who he wasn't ("I am Azarias, the son of Ananias the great, and of thy brethren"). This lie was placed in the story because earlier in the story, Tobit demanded to know which Israelite tribe the person (Raphael the angel) was from, who would be going with Tobias to collect money in another land, for Tobit didn't want Tobias to go alone, since he was his only son. The lie was 'exposed' in chapter 12, where he admitted he was an angel. (I wonder what Tobit thought about being lied to by an angel......)
Angels were identified as male because of the gender issue within the Jewish religion. Women were humble, obedient and silent, and therefore generally were not recognized as leaders, angels, or demons. Feministic features had disappeared from the Jewish religion long before the first stories were written, with few exceptions, such as the book of Ruth and book of Esther.

I can't stand it when they thumbs-down it, because they don't want to be reminded of it!

Interesting question. The answer, scripturally, would be no. All angels are not male. There are no males at all, or females. The Apostle Paul explains that in heaven...

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female; for YOU are all one [person] in union with Christ Jesus." - Gal. 3:28

Prirate ir right, but they materialized into male HUMAN forms.

Sodom & Gomorrah?: Again, MATERIALIZED angels, who retook their spirit form once they were finished with their mission. The scriptures tell us that flesh & blood cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Yes. There is no evidence of anything but males. It is possible that they could be male by appearance only, and may be really non-sexual.

There is a theory that angles mated with humans and populated the earth, but that does not have solid scriptural support.

I'm not sure the bible ever states the angels are male. Sure those names have been used in our society predominantly for males. I don't think the angels necessarily have a sex.

Supposedly angels mated with human women, so that would indicate that some are male, at least.

Angels are neither male or female, but I also believe that God has some angels with female gender names.
