My second cousin is very near his end, suffering from lung cancer. We have never been close. Is it appropriate now to send him Christmas greetings or a present, even though I've never done it before? If so, what could it be. He is in bed and fading now. Thank you for your thoughts.

A card, or a phone call if you are comfortable with talking to him would mean more than some present. If you could write something that you both shared in the past; a picnic, a wedding, just anything you had in common that was a pleasant thought to you, might give him a good memory as well. God Bless.

Send a nice Christmas greeting (look carefully at the words before you send it) and tell him you're thinking of him.

i accept as true with pj. Giving him a contemporary now could only approximately be an insult and in basic terms you may experience greater beneficial. possibly if there are individuals of your loved ones are going to pass to him on sooner or later, pass with them. only make him experience regularly occurring and don't point out his project, that is going to help him ignore for slightly and only be happy.. i'm hoping you artwork it out, i understand how perplexing that is. merry christmas

Yes do it now!!! I would write a beautiful handwritten letter. Say things that you need to say and tell him how much you love him. You will never regret it. It is not about the gift it is your time and effort. That is plenty and I am sure he will cherish it. My condolences

Get him something that he would like. Ask him, if it's possible, what he would like as a gift or ask someone close to him. This way you'll get him something that he will get a chance to really enjoy.

Ask him wat his favorite day ever was. Then relive it for him but add on things to make it better.
