There is a .22-284 wildcat which will do about 4400 fps with 50-grain bullets.

If you are looking for a varmint round that reaches 4,000 fps then you need to look at: 220 swift, 22-250 Remington, Ruger 204, 223 WSSM, or the new Remington 17 Fireball. The best one for you depends on the range you are shooting and the amount of rounds you plan on shooting and if you reload. If you are shooting past 300 yards consistantly, then the 22-250 or the Swift would be the best choice. If most of your shots are closer than 300 then either the 223, 204, or the 17 Fireball will be better in the long run. There are too many variables to say that just one is the best. By the way, the 22-284 was a wildcat and I haven't seen it around in several years. Good luck and take a friend shooting.

i have been shooting for over 25 years and have never heard of a 22-845?
The 220 Swift is one adn 22-250 is the other cartridge that can shoot bullets over 4000 fps.

17 caliber hollow points do 4,000 FPS (give or take)
I've never heard of a .22-854...but I'm not that savvy with weaponry these days.

I don't think there is a varmint that needs that velocity. the .17 Hornady Mach rounds are supposedly one of the best varmint rounds.I'm not sure the exact velocity, but I know its pretty damn high.
