My American Government teacher is from Iran and he explained all about Muslims and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He showed us his speech in New York and explained why they are so outraged. I think if more Americans were openminded and listen the world would be a better place. I may only be 16 but I think I am alot smarter than most adults.

If you lived in Iran, you certainly wouldn't like him. You would have to wear a hijab or burka, walk behind men in deference to them, and be very careful about what you say and do there, as the religious police could beat you on the spot for violating Islam.
What is it with so many students that seem to venerate corrupt governments and their officials? In the 60's & 70's, so many thought Communism was better than what we have. Yet, as history proves, it fell under the weight of its corruption. People need liberty, not enslavement, and this nation is one of the few that actually gives a person a place where their voice is heard without fear of arrest or persecution by the government. Iran has no such protections.

Most people who are 16, think they are smarter than most adults. It is part of growing up.
There is a lot more to the issues than what your Iran teacher is teaching. Did you even notice what you said? A person from Iran teaching American Government. This country is infiltrated by traitors and terrorists. What does an Iranian know about American Government?
Did you know that Iran is furnishing weapons to Al Queda to kill Americans in Iraq? And you want me to consider anything that Ahmadinejad would say. I was strongly against this enemy speaking in an American University. As was Arafat and Hussein, this man is a liar and an enemy to Israel and America.
My dear child, you are still wet behind the ears. Your American Government teacher needs to return to Iran. And if you marry an Iranian don't think you will ever come home from Iran. These Islamic countries do not favor women like the USA. In Islamic countries women are chattel mortgage . . . property. Your husband is allowed to beat you and even kill you if you don't behave.
Americans live like kings and queens and no other country in the world shares such wonderful blessings. We are endowed by our Creator, Almighty God and the extreme blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Islamic god and the American God are not the same God. Be very thankful that you are an American.

Good question. I think a lot of our sentiment toward the guy is like most other world leaders... it's based on what our media and government is telling us. That's why we went into a war and now want out. There were no weapons of mass destruction just like the media recently said that Iran really has no nuclear weapons being produced. Honestly, I think that he is a pretty intelligent guy and I wish there was a way that I could get more unbiased information before condemning the guy.
Good to see that you're thinking critically instead of believing everything the media tells. Obviously, you're smarter than most adults! :-)

Well, for one thing, he has repeatedly said that he wants to wipe Israel off the map --- he wants to destroy Israel. So I would say that's the biggest thing that's wrong, and it's also what your question has to do with Israel. I would say that's why most people are so outraged by him.

I think that most people *mock* him because he has said that there are no homosexuals in Iran. There are homosexuals everywhere, so I think that this has made people angry at him and wonder if he's delusional.

Of course Iran itself seems to have a lot more problems since he came to power. But the two things mentioned above are what has set off the most alarm bells for Americans.

Hello, Sweet 16 and your history teacher:
You have not been around long, and when Spain, Portugal, southern France, the Balkan Nations, Greece, Israel, North Africa, etc., fell to the military assaults of Muhammadans, CHRISTIANS KNEW IT WAS A FULFILLMENT OF BIBLE PROPHECY, and it's not over yet.
See: "The Rise, Decline, and Death of Islam as Predicted in the Bible" at www.revelado.org/islam.htm

Your profile says your messing on the internet with some guy you don't know from Qatar. I'm sorry, that doesn't suggest intelligence.
Also- the fact that he would like to develop nuclear technology is disconcerting. Other than that....I suppose he'd be alright.

You surely are smarter than the average bigots your country is famed for.
This guy is probably the most demacratic leader in the world. Ellected freely by the masses, against all odds.
He is helping Afgan refugees, even though their countries are long standing enemies.
Couldn`t the christian west really learn a thing or two from this man..??
He didn`t say the people of Israel should go he actually said the name Israel should be rubbed off the map. (it should still read Palestine)
So many people who don`t speak his language seem to be able to translate it to anything they want it to be..!!
