I'm just nut sure if the model really makes that much of a difference if the oldel one has less mileage than the newer one. which do you recommend?

i would go for the 96 w/ 77,000miles b/c its cheaper than the 98 and have less miles. 11,000 is a big difference for the stress it puts on the engine

This is a very similar Deal. i would but the older one. My rule of thumb is :
a car is worth $2000 bucks a year if you buy the 96 and it lasts 18 months you did good.
if you buy the 98 is has to last you 2 years.

Both are gonna need a timing belt soon and have the suspension and the brakes checked and look for things like leaking struts etc....both should be good for 50 to 100k more miles.... good luck

Both are a good deal. WHat are they're differences??? Engine size??? trans type??? turbo-charged??If either has a turbo, that is the one I would get. Thes a huge extended warranty for it and it's way more fun to drive!!!

I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU KEEP LOOKING BECAUSE BOTH OF THESE VEHICLES ARE MONEY PITS AND WILL PUT YOU IN THE POOR HOUSE.
