Same as VT. Don't they get it? Your advertising to the criminals that the people are unarmed. Should we do away with "gun Free" zones so that law abiding legal concelled gun carriers can protect themselfs and others?

I am a Licensed Concelled Hangun permit citizen here in Texas. If I want to go into a school to talk to a teacher, or go into the mall in Nebraska, I have to leave my weapon in the car. Because I obey the law. Doesn't take much for the criminals to look at the signs and " ok, no one is armed in here bu t me!!!

Banning gun free zones would do some service to keep the criminals on their toes. Won't stop them but it gives them something else to think about.
We don't know that Hawkins picked the mall because it was a gun free zone. If he did, then the signs need to come down.
Remember the phrase "Outlaw guns and only the outlaws will have guns".?
I wonder if any of the victims before they were killed has the thought go through their minds; "Thank God this guy is the only one in the mall with a gun".

i think that the people with concealed weapons permits can have them, if they have ABSOLUTELY no record. but i don't think there should be an absolutely gun free mall anywhere. i think the manager or someone with that ranking of authority should have one with them, and there should also be cops in the mall also. That's my opinion.
