Usually what is safe is not effective. I am very much into natural remedies (or homeopathic ones) and I have never run across any.

When I had a problem with fleas many years ago I used the products from the vet and did a LOT of combing.

I've never come across anything better than Stronghold that can be purchased at your vets where your pet is registered. I'm sure you've heard it recently, but NEVER NEVER EVER use dog flea remedy for cats as it will kill your cat due to the toxins.
Stronghold is very effective, not herbal but good!

Hi
i don't think there are i'm afraid. i tried a few years ago and they did no go, all they tend to be is strong smelling lemon scent and that was no good. I;m afraid the best solution is the stuff you can dab on the back of their necks every month and is availble from the vets only. Anything else just isn't as good.

Citronella oil, eucalyptus oil, balsam, citrus peel extract, lavender oil and tea tree oil are some natural products which are effective insecticides for fleas.
