As well as one of the biggest co2 eaters respectively, and if so Why isn't it mandatory to grow it if we are really serious about reducing global warming co2 gasses? (Besides the easy answer that it is illegal, I mean why, really?)

Actually, kudzu is the fastest growing plant in the world and thus the biggest oxygen producer. It is originally from Japan, and was used for almost everything there: decoration, making mats, making rope, etc. Unfortunately, some idiots thought it would be a good idea to take it to the South in the U.S. It exploded it was growing so fast. As it had no competition at all and no natural predators, it began growing at over a foot a day (it is a vine-like plant). Some people even said that it killed and ate people. Some people's homes were swamped by the plant and they were forced to abandon them when the roofs caved in. The plant now grows faster than it can be cut down.

You have kind of a good point, though, about marijuana. But the thing is, small plants have minimal effects on the CO2 levels. The majority of photosynthesis in the world is done by phytoplankton in the ocean. Our efforts would be better spent protecting the plant growth we already have than growing marijuana.

I think you are onto something here. Marijuana is a very fast grower and will capture CO2 very efficiently. But to be effective as a carbon sink you mustn't allow the results to be burned or composted because that would be only carbon neutral. It needs to be buried somewhere really deep like mines or put in a massive swamp to prevent oxidation. It makes a lot more sense than CO2 sequestration.
