Typically cats live into the early 20's if they are in good health. IF they get regular vaccinations that are necessary especially when they are a kitten and if the cat is neutered it helps to add years to their life. It prevents tumors often to have them fixed they say . It is also important to feed them well, with very little table scraps if any but to give them the balanced food for their nutrition needed. When they turn 7 give them senior food as cats age differently than people and need that then. They typically are able to make it 2 decades if they are well taken care of and NOT let to go outside. Doing that exposes them to such as feline leukemia with the outside cats and this is a type of cancer that kills cats much sooner than they should die otherwise. It can be something that a cat can be born with , so if your cat isn't checked for it a simple blood test on them by a vet will tell you if they are negative or not. IF they are negative for it and you keep them indoors, then you do NOT need to get any precaution or prevention shot for that. Make sure they have the needed shots, they can die from a respiratory ailment the most. I saw one do that from this. Distemper shots are very important when they are kittens.

depends on many things
vaccinations add 2-3 years
spaying or neutering adds 2-3 years
letting them go outdoors takes away an average of 5 years

good food can add 2-3 years while bad food (any with BHT, BHA, or By-Products, or who have CORN in #1 spot) can take away as much as 5 years...

on Average an INDOOR Only cat lives 15-18 years.

My last cat lived to be 18, but my next-door neighbor's cat made it to 25. I would say you can look forward to at least another decade with your beautiful cat if you take good care of him. I assume you have had him neutered; that will increase his life span.

I have a 10 tear old house cat now. I had one live to be 16, and a friend of mine had one live to 22. If you take care of them, they should live into their teens.

Well.... my cat was adopted in 1996, when she was 2... and currently she is still alive, meaning she is about 13 right now... so I would expect(hopefully :)....) that your cat should be living for a while..... I hope I answered your question!

Some cats - not many - can live to 24, if they are lucky. Average age 15, or thereabouts, if they are kept in good health, kept safely indoors, and have no congenital diseases or conditions.

well, depending on how well you take care of your cat, depends on how long it will live. if you give it tons of love and affection, and basically care for it properly, it will probably live til its about 13- 25 years old. my cat passed away this summer, and he aws 25 years olod and cared for greatly. Hope that answers your question!
