ring emergency vet or get neighbour to take you to one

If there's fluid around the lungs the vet MAY be able to stop that, but they sure can't if you wait till the cat dies of this. It makes no sense to give up when this can be helped--get her in by a vets. She's having trouble and it's your obligation as owner to take care of her, not to be afraid to look at her when she's in trouble.

At the very least go get her out of the closet and let her know you're there with her.

Do you love this animal? Call the vet and get the cat in for immediate emergency care. Do you love this animal but have no way to get it to the vet? Do you know of anyone that could euthanize the animal? The animal is suffering and there are many things worse than death...on of them is the inability to breathe. Either get the animal to a vet so it can be euthanized or euthanize it yourself or have someone do it for the cat...it shouldn't have to suffer.

Did this come on suddenly or has it been sick? How old is the cat? Try to find a way to get it to the Vets. If the cat is in distress it needs medical attention ASAP.

I know that it is hard, but I had the same thing happen to four of my kittens. I know that it is horrible to hear their suffering, but if you can't get it to the vet or can't end its life by yourself, then just sit by it and stroke it. Just remember that she was a good friend while she was here and now she has to go.

It sounds like your cat has asthma, just a hunch? Does it? Don't let your cat suffer, call the vet right now!

aww I am sorry, hold your kitty and tell her that you love her and call the vet to see what they say to do, tell them that you cant get to their office right now because you dont have a car and ask them what you should do. You dont want to die alone do you? Neither does your kitty.

i know it will be hard but dont let her suffer. wrap her in a blanket and get her to a vet as quickly as you can. if you really cant do this then sit with her and stroke her gently while talking quietly to her. you will be glad you did this when you look back at this time.
