Just save the typical list of crap and buy a 2007 Subaru Legacy GT spec B limited. You'll love it and it's safe, reasonably fuel efficient and fast.

Wow you sure are spoilt in Australia kids go to work to earn there own cars.
OK so if you are serious I would suggest a nice 4 cylinder sporty car not to powerful as it will kill you eventually.
I also suggest you pay for the up keep your self.
Be grateful your father a lot of fathers cant afford to do this so I hope you look after it well.
Remember a car is actually a dangerous weapon on the road.
Best Of Luck

How spoiled?
Mercedes c class- I relay like this car brand new body style, extremal safe, quite a bit bigger than the old c-class my neighbor just bought one and loves it. Also affordable approximately $32,000
Other than Mercedes I would strongly suggest a SUV (you have to know once you drive a SUV you will never be able to dive anything else)
#1 Pick - escalade, Once you drive it you will understand. quite like a car, accelerates like a car, and drives like a dream. (we have one)
Now if you have a budget GMC Yukon
Let us know.

nowadays people who can afford anything want suv's. I think you should check out the hummer h3. The smaller of the Hummers, but a great vehicle none the less. also maybe a Lincoln Navigator if you want something a little bigger.

First off, the make and model of a car doesn't make it a good car. If it's a used car, it all depends on who had it before you and how well they took care of it
