But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Col. 3:8
I really do have a sense of humor and believe me I've several opportunities to let it fly here but I always end up holding my tongue. I just answered a questing regarding jw's and breast enlargements. I tried not to be a boob about it.
I've read a lot of comments here that had me rolling. I'm not anal about it, there isn't really anything that offends me. As a Christian I just need to be careful of what I say.
Yes God has a sense of humor. Some critters you can only laugh at, cats especially. Strongly independent and stupid can't get any better!

To me, "bawdy" means sexually suggestive. God did create us with senses of humor, but there are plenty of other ways to be funny.
Your salvation would not be lost because of bawdy jokes, but it is not the God-honoring choice.

Think of God in terms of 100% positive energy and the source of positive energy. If your action or comment itsn't 100% positive energy, it is not for God or from God as God is the source of positive energy, so it must be not of God. And Jesus says "You are either with God or against God. You can not serve two masters" so if a comment isn't of "Good" nature meaning "of God" then it must be negative or a mix, but either way the "devil" has a part in it which is the source of negative energy.
I think God has a sense of humor as well but I think in a way, He only laughs at His own jokes. We can tell the jokes, but they've got to be "of Him"

It all depends upon what your definition of "bawdy" is.
Ephesians 5:1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

I sure hope so. Sometimes I just can't help it. I agree that God loves a sense of humor.
BTW: I hope you all forgive me if the humor gets a little... rough around the edges.

As a Buddhist, i could agree and upload Buddhists to the vanguard. locate me a monk that's not solid lively and jolly. the main known (arguably) Buddhist statue is composed of a monk with a huge abdomen and enormous smile. Buddhists are greater heavily aligned with Agnostics or Atheists, to a pair extent (yet minus the "concept' gadget)

God has a sense of humor. He created us didn't He? And we were created in His image. Laugh! There is no harm intended.

I think God gave us the sense of humor. So, there you have it. Words is just words...people need to lighten up. And to those that are gonna quote the Bible...remember, it was a book written by men of the time...

Perfectly fine with me.
After all, assuming you believe in God, that means God created Ron Jeremy too.
