Ok so even if your married and have sex for pleasure is that still immoral? If the purpose is to produce new life?
I can't think of anyone who DOESN'T have sex for pleasure...except maybe The Duggers who have 17 children..

which is just an awful thing to say when so many loving couples cannot concieve

I disagree with the idea that the person had for Morality and thereofre can not adequately answer this question on it's premise. I believe that the act that you describe was forbidden by GOD and is therefore against HIS LAWS. I believe that two married people should attempt at all times to make one another happy as a couple and I believe that the man and woman should care more for one another than they do for others around them. GOD should be first in our relationship of LOVE. Have a great day.

I personally think no (about the pleasure of sex being immoral)...as long as you're in a eternal commitment with the person, what's wrong with that? Sex is a natural act this is SUPPOSE to be shared between a husband (MAN) & a wife (woman). If you're in this type of relationship when kids come along it should be a good thing. A blessing if you will. ;)

I think the bible sets rules--because afterall monogramy (aka--sexual standards/morals) is what sets us apart from animals.

That logic would also make the marriage of a couple in their golden years (after the woman has experienced menopause and is no longer fertile) immoral. I cannot accept this argument, because I refuse to believe that God does not bless a marriage between an older man and an older woman.

Sex works as a bonding mechanism. It was developed through evolution to keep couples together. We have plenty of population. Our environment can only support so many people. Population add to the strain not only on the environment, but leads to more poverty and hunger. Of course, man's inequity towards others add to it also. We have a lot of sexual abuse and disorders in this society, and religion has not done well in this area. A lot of religious leaders have not been very sensitive to this issue, and some have been abusers themselves.

The Sexually Immoral

Webster’s definition on immoral is conflicting with generally or traditionally held moral principles.

The bible says, “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.” (1 Corinthians (6:18-20) We are suppose to honor God with our bodies. When we are sexually immoral we sin against God and ourselves. God is always with us. God knows everything you do. But if you fail to do this, you will be sinning against the LORD; and you may be sure that your sin will find you out. (Numbers 32:23) Your sin will catch up with you eventually. Note that you cannot hide your sins from God and your sins will be exposed.

Here is the Bible list of Sexual immoral things not to do.
· No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the LORD.
· Do not dishonor your father by having sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her.
· Do not have sexual relations with your father's wife; that would dishonor your father.
· Do not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father's daughter or your mother's daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.
· Do not have sexual relations with your son's daughter or your daughter's daughter; that would dishonor you.
· Do not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father's wife, born to your father; she is your sister.
· Do not have sexual relations with your father's sister; she is your father's close relative.
· Do not have sexual relations with your mother's sister, because she is your mother's close relative.
· Do not dishonor your father's brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations; she is your aunt.
· Do not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son's wife; do not have relations with her.
· Do not have sexual relations with your brother's wife; that would dishonor your brother.
· Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. Do not have sexual relations with either her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter; they are her close relatives. That is wickedness.
· Do not take your wife's sister as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is living.
· Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period.
· Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor's wife and defile yourself with her.
· Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molech, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.
· Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.
· Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion. (Leviticus 18 6-23)
Now days the Internet is full of sexual immoral things. Any type of pornography whether magazine, video, TV, Internet, or live is sexual immoral. We are not suppose to look or act sexual immorally. God can help you over come any type of sin. All you have to do is ask him to forgive you and turn from your wicked ways.
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
