Wouldn't they have better things to do than to bash things that don't exist anyway? I'm just curious because things I don't believe in I try to stay away from.

Most are not atheists. They are anti-theists and believe they must disprove God. A true atheist could careless what anyone else believes.

Btw, most anti-theists claim the higher intellect yet believe they must disprove something that they claim is not there to begin with. Quite funny, really.

Like chasing Big-Foot and yet saying he doesn't exist.

I'm not here to 'bash' all religion. Some aspects of it maybe, such as intolerance.

Just as religions 'bash' each other, and also 'bash' 'non-believers.'

People will always disagree.

PS. I DO believe in religion. Religions exist. They shape the world around us and affect our lives and those of our family and friends, not to mention the World's future security. The two biggest religions are at each other's throats and holding us to ransom with their 'armageddon' primitive mindsets.

Religion is like politics, you don't need to be a president or a campaigner to be affected by it, or have knowledge of political history.

PPS You say that you stay away from things you don't believe in?

How can you stay away from something you don't believe in?

How can you 'stay away' from a leprechaun? Or a 6 legged jubjub bird? How do you 'stay away' from something that you believe doesn't exist?

"I don't know anyone that is an Atheist"

Wow. You must be from the US or an Islamic country?

I've actually given this some thought. I know, shocking right! If YA divided R&S down to every conceivable religion/belief system, people would still invade other domains for personal gratification. The drawback to the general way it is now is that if you have a serious ? and want serious answers, you have to weed through a bunch of lonely and bored peoples answers to get it.

I answer questions. I studied faith for some years in the past arriving at atheism and that i comprehend lots with regard to the subject matter. i've got now and returned been astonished at how little the traditional believer is conscious with regard to the historic previous and history of his or her faith, and at how few Christians have actual study the entire Bible. that's no longer a "believers in uncomplicated terms" club. it is for everybody who can answer the questions.

So any opposing belief or opinion is bashing? Do you think that a pagans shouldn't be here because they don't believe in your deity?

This is not Christianity it is ~Religion and Spirituality~ and everyone has an opinion on it just like they do about politics or economics or socialized health care, etc..

Myself, I have always liked it on an academic level - I've studied religions in college and to me it is just like the stuyding of mythology, I put it in the same vein. However, I'm not disrespectful to christians unless they show me disrespect first - I'm married to a christian.

sweeping the trash under the carpet is not an option.
one of the features of the "atheist" primate ancestors was the curiosity. hence we are here to scout the section, to ask questions and tease the believers. sometimes we even get valuable and respectable feedback or outputs.

People always seem to address their questions to atheists here. If I went somewhere else, I wouldn't be able to answer the questions directed to atheists, and I wouldn't be able to address any misconceptions they might have.

Their heart is battling with their head. Within each of us God has placed a desire to know Him. When your head says God doesn't exist and your heart says He does, the fight is on! Only don't take it personally, they may vent and accuse you but it is God and themselves that they have the issue with. Just be loving and kind, God will get the hungry hearts!

Please note that most of the answers are from NON-BELIEVERS.
Being a Christian I believe that they are driven by a force that is from the gates of hell. They are resentful and jealous that they have no direction of any importance in their lives. They do exactly what Satan wants!
That is why;
“I tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every ( worthless word they speak). 37 For by your words you will be justified and (by your words you will be condemned”) (Matthew 12:36-37).
