you keep showing off, you turn off people.

Nope, superiority complex pertains to the belief that you are absolutely correct on any given matter.

As such, members of the religion may have superiority complexes, but so could anyone else.

I wish i had one too sometimes.

I believe anyone belonging to a particular religion should be proud of his/her faith.Half faith in any religion amounts to no faith at all
It is also true that a real believer of any religion does consider that his/her religion is the best.This is natural.
Hating others who doesn't believe in one's faith is dangerous and not a civilised way of thinking.
