Yes, Karlos, it does. It's paneling that comes up from the floor to a point somewhere at the midpoint. That's where most wall damage occurs, from kids, from chairs that bang into the wall or fall over, from clumsy movers, from bashing with vacuum or carpet cleaning equipment, and so on.

Of course, then you'll have damaged wainscoting, but it's far sturdier than wallboard or lathe-and-plaster.

Yes. You could have damaged wainscotting though. I see they even sell plastic panels for wainscotting now. I will admit, wood wainscottiing is more damage resistant than drywall though.
