hi i'm a girl and this is what i did on thursday. i told my friend while we were sk8ting something about him. he was asking me like what is bothering and that i seemed bumb out. i told him that is has to do with him and he was curious. i like him and have a crush on him and told him on a piece of paper. i was to shy to tell him so he read it. i asked him out for a date and wanted to be more then friends but he said no. he said it was because his other relationship ended bad and that he doesn't want to lose our friendship..i was rejected so i was ok with it. he then said bye to me with a hug and handshake and we left..what do you think? i should do? was it to ordinary?

Pretend like you never asked him out...go back to being just platonic friends with him. If you act weird, he will act weird back. If you go on like you are okay and accepting his answer, your friendship is saved! Good luck.

He sounds like a nice guy considering the fact that he said bye to you with a hug and a handshake eventhough he admitted he didn't have special feelings for you. It just shows that how much he values your friendship that you guys share. Maybe you shoud just keep it that way. Some friends are better off as friends and not as lovers.

But then again, just wait and see what'll happen. In the meantime, just act normal and don't act too gushy or ignore him. It'll be difficult for him as well.

I wish you guys luck whether it's keeping your friendship or progressing to the next level :)

he's been very nice to you and have excellent manners. how you did things was also very good and protected you and him from losing your friendship. just forget it happened and carry on being friends. when you meet someone else it will so much easier for you. well done you for going about it in that way. it showed real maturity and he sounds like a good friend to keep around.

He knows how you feel. Give the relationship time, and see what works out.

Give him sometime and space, but always keep in-touch and do not push to fast.

Just be yourself. Let him take his own sweet time. I am sure he will come around. All the luck!

just give him space and see what happens.. if you harass him then you will push him further away and he wont like you at all.
