Small sips of water at room temperature will stand the best chance of staying down. Don't bother trying to eat anything. Your body evidently has some buggie it's trying to ward off or get rid of, and that's what the vomiting is trying to tell you. Vomiting is the first line defense, and a very effective one. Stick with small sips of plain water. If you can't hold even that, then you really will need to visit the ER. They have drugs that can calm things so you can at least hold fluid. If you happen to have candied ginger, you can also try nibbling very very small pieces of that, along with the water sips. Ginger helps settle woggy bellys quite well. Don't bother trying to eat anything for the next 24 hours. All you need are clear liquids, and a rest for your insides. After that, you can have bananas, rice, apple/applesauce, white bread, toast and crackers. If you are vomiting, expect diarrhea to follow, but if you are fairly empty that will stop fairly quick without any need for anything else. Just don't eat. Drink.
