clean ALL spots up with natures miracle it has enzymes that will eat the urine away, he can smell the urine and thinks it's OK to pee there.
you may have to retrain him to use the litter box.

You better get back to the vet and tell the the clomicalm isn't working, so they can help you!
Peeing around the house is a classic response from a cat to upset i.e your husband leaving and one of your cats dying. Talk to a vet. I would expect for the cat to be over this after a year. Maybe you need to talk to a feline behaviourist.

There's your problem, your husband left and he lost his buddy.
Did he get to see the deceased cat? if not he may still be looking for him.
As for your husband, there isn't much you can do to put the cats mind at ease for him leaving.
Try removing any trace of the other cat and your husband from the house. This Will include shampooing the carpet to remove the smells. Also try changing the brand of litter you use.
Failing that I don't know what to tell you, if he is medically cleared, he is upset about something, unless you can pinpoint it and help the cat get over it, there isn't much you can do.

You say you have other cats if one isnt fully toilet trained he could be taking it.s cue from the other my cat copies my dog he was from a rescue 6 months ago age 9,just been neutered (at that age, poor thing) but he,d always been a house cat..until he noticed that my dog goes out in the garden am..midday..pm.he wanted to go with her after a while.
now he scratches at the door and goes out on his own.. no more kat litter!
your cat knows his scent is no longer present among the others he,s desperately trying to make his mark bless him
deodouriser deterrent spray..and retrain him as a new kitten

how about giving him box of his own. and if you cn keep him in another room, away fro m everyting for awhile. You visit and reassure him. Cats can be very sensitive to changs. If he onlt pees a little then it could be his way to mark territory in an attempt to get the change under contro.
If he pees a full bladder then he is maybe doing it to get your attention. Mine does that on the new my couch...to pi$$ me off I'm sure if I have done something that upset him.

if he just got nutered there is a slight chance he will start peeing in the house. make sure you show him his litter box about 2-4 times a day and i bet by the end of the week you will be find ( or hees leaving a sent just make sure you do this)

Depends how much you like your cat. Personally, If you don't have any success with a small water pistol (squirt him once every time he pees) then I would get rid - your house will pong beyond belief if you let it continue.
