i have been dealing with rat in my basement for 2 weeks now! changing my traps & bait daily! the rats are not bothering them! so my last resort has been rat poison! u bought lots of it! & have placed the pellet bags everywheres. went & checked the next day about 8 of them are moved! So iam wondering if they ate em, now how long til they DIE???

A few days to a week will do it. The poison is actually a potent blood thinner (warfarin - the same thing as Coumadin), so they bleed internally and that's what kills them.

If the poison has not digested entirely from the rat, the cat can get sick. It depends on the amount left in the rat's stomach after ingestion, and how much is in the rat's system. A cat will likely not die, but can be made sick, depending on the age/health of the cat.

About a week. You should use traps inside. If you use poison the rotting body of the rat that hides away will smell for a long time

It takes a while. Be careful and consider NOT using rat poison if you or your neighbors have pets, because if they attack or eat a poisoned rat they could die from it too.

use alot of it and make sure thy r hungry and if they eat it all it might kill them quicker
