If I try to push her out of the cat door she fights back. If I throw her out she comes right back in! But I want her to use the garden and not use a litter tray indoors

You cant force a cat to go outside when it is raining and cold. How would you like it if you were put outside when it is bad weather. You wouldnt would you so dont do it to your cat. Just use a litter tray. It is so much easier than having a fight with the cat everyday. She/he will go out when it is ready

ahhhh poor thing - our cat insists on visiting the garden no matter what weather, she cries at us 'please stop the rain' etc., etc., for sometime before she braves the elements - i would rather her use the litter tray than suffer - cant you just let her use the tray in the awful weather ? and allow her to go outside when the weather is better?

you shouldn't own a cat - that's cruel. Why don't you go to the bathroom outside when it's below zero and/or freezing rain. Find another home for the poor thing.

Honey, would you like it if someone tried to throw you outside to do your business when there's a perfectly good toilet just down the hall? Leave the cat be! Or better, give her to someone who can take care of her.

You have to NOT want her to go out in the cold and rain.
Then you will have a hard time getting her to come back out of the cold and rain.

poor kitty!!!! I don't blame her for not wanting to go out when it's raining or cold, would you?!

GROW UP and have a litter box in the house for her to use.

With a puppy I carried it out, waited a while it 'went', then dashed back in side, but the pup beat me.
