Having company over this Christmas I'm looking for candles that will make the whole house smell great for hours thanks for you help!

Also what are some good brands and does anyone think that the new oil candles are better? Has anyone tried them yet what do you think?

Apple-cinnamon is my favorite. Pumpkin spice is second and then bayberry or pine scent.

Cinnamon and spice candles, or vanilla. I understand that Yankee Candle Factory candles are very good, but you could try walking into stores and sniffing a few.
I have been in places where the oil candles were used, and they do have a wonderful aroma. But they can be a bit overpowering.

I am not a candle person,allergies,but I get the cinnamon pine cones and place in decorative baskets the cinnamon broom that you decorate to hang on the wall is wonderful too. Your whole house will smell good.

Oh there are so many!
It depends on your taste. I prefer bakery smells as opposed to berries and spice.
My mom's favorite are Aloha Bay "berry christmas" they are a combination of mulberry and candy.
they are discontinued but you can still find them on the web...
i am not much of a fan of yankee candles but their Christmas cookies is one that I always buy a few of.
I prefer Forevery body at home candles. i love butter cream, sugar cookies, vanilla and butter, caramel apple, whipped cream, snickerdoodle, milk and cookies, ginger snap, vanilla sugar, caramel popcorn, go to the for everybody at home wesbite... they have such a selection, and our own candle company, there candles smell great and they are very very cheap for the quality of candles, I think they smell better than yankee's, and they smell your whole house....

Vanilla...Lavender...These are traditional, nostalgic and refreshing...by the way...Why dont you make your own candles?...Its really fun...Just wetten the wick with some Barium or Strontium salts and let it dry to create some awesome flame colors...Use ground Magnesium inside the paraffin so it glitters whilst being lit...
