Unconditional love is real, but there ARE rules. People love unconditionally for different reasons. But one thing always remains constant, and that's the concept of being loved back. Unconditional love is overlooking flaws and mistakes. But you can't love someone unconditionally if they hurt or harm you. There are degrees to everything, but just remember one thing.... Hell isn't a place, it's a "state of being" where you damage a relationship with someone so badly (could be God, could be your mom, your wife or your brother), you can never be close to them again.

Even Budda the great pacafist admitted to getting angry on occasion.
We can love. We do love. Then something happens and that love is gone, that is life, we are alive.
Only God can love unconditionally because only God can stand the crap we throw at each other.
No matter how much you love someone, life happens and we make mistakes. Some of those cancel out your love for that person - you will always love the person they were, not nessesarilly the person they become.

True love is unconditional but the base of the matter is that there are personal boundries, morals and beliefs to consider. I could love you unconditionally (hyperthetically natururally) but if you slept with my best friend I would still feel well within my rights to want to rip to pieces! I love my children unconditionally, and one of them has tested that to the max, but my personal limit would be say him killing his sibling. I reckon that would be my limit on unconditional in that case.

if you want your love to grow bigger, stronger then you will have to have some rules .. like caring, forgiving, loving, trusting, standing by each others side, honesty, responsibility and the list goes on and on..
My husband is Muslim and am Buddhist., it is taking both of us alot of sacrifices and adjustments from both of our sides to make our relationship happy and long-standing. we always have to make some sacrifices and adjustments to make something work for 2 people, after all, life without a sacrifice will not be a life worth fighting for.. what comes easy, goes easy remember.
And if you think you can love someone unconditionally, then you could get hurt one day, coz the other person does not have to make any, even the smalles sacrifice to be with you.... well, that is my opinion...

It means that you are willing to forgive flaws, listen and communicate, love forever without, well, conditions, such as I will love you as long as you always wear your hair short. Unconditional love is usually for parents, children, family, best friends, or marriage partners.
