well thats what the report button is for there is still no reason to call people morons or tell them they need mental help and know im not perfect but i do consider others feelings. yes it is freedom of speech but others could be nicer and im allowed to ask a question if i wont to and i ask why are people so rude to others and the question applied to the ones that are being rude and mean

Being Courteous
Using hate speech
Keep hateful and incendiary comments off Yahoo Answers
Respect each other .
I really don't think Respect exists on Yahoo Answers or people would Respect each other on here.
If people Repect each other then they will get Respect back but if they don't Respect people then they will not get Respect back.

Some people are out there to ask stupid questions to be funny or to be just plain stupid on purpose with a warped sense of curiosity over what it might bring back as a response. If I am in the mood I'll play with them back with a play on words. I do not call names. I report name callers which I, too, think is rude. If they need mental health help, I'll call them on that too. I will not feed another person's delusion nor ignore their cries for help if they are suicidal. My 16-year-old nephew just killed himself in June of this year. Trust me little miss "helping others," you are doing others a grave disservice by not steering them to help--especially when it is life-threatening!!!

Most of the time I try to be nice, but, when it's the same person asking the same question you answered for them already with plenty of research material enclosed, you start to get frustrated..
When I ask a question, it's because I want to know what the answer is.. I'm not looking for someone to just agree with an opinion I formed based on someone else's opinion who may or may not know what they're talking about.. That's when I start getting a bit ruder, when someone just wants to be told what they want to believe ...
You know what I mean?
I'm not going to agree with someone and tell them, "Yeah, love is all you need, feed your cat ears of corn and garbage, so long as you love them. That's all that matters.."
Quite frankly, that's not all that matters.. If you love your child, but, you let it play in the street at midnight and feed it only potato chips, no one's going to care that you say you love your child.. Family services will take your kid away..
I'm poor for crying out loud.. I probably make less then most people on here do and can still afford to feed a species appropriate diet to my pets.. Of course, it takes more work when you're poor to do that, but, people should be responsible and committed to providing properly for the pet they obtained.. I've gotten lots of emails from people thanking me for being tough on them and telling them their cat needed to go to the vet.. So, sure, some people on here take me as a bit rude, but, some on here save their pets life cause they listen to the answers instead of looking for someone with the same opinion as themselves....

People are ignorant, lack social skills (1 reason to be on here!) and cannot put themselves into the shoes of another. To ask why..well, you may as well ask why the world is. For as long as they have existed, people have been diverse. Would be nice if they chilled a bit though eh?

This is a public site.. and we are all asking all sorts of people questions regarding our personal lives and what not.. Freedom of speech allows this.. I try to take it all as i asked for it... You can't control others behavior... Shrug it off.. and remember.. you did ask a question that is open to a plethora of different people. I know it sucks sometimes.. to get a rude answer...

This forum is not for people to "rant" either, and that's just what you're doing! Keep in mind that some people are just rude. Period. Don't be so sensitive because after all, the world is not perfect. Are you?

it hurts especially when people judge the way you take care of the animal or that poor people should not have cats or people that let the cats roam is a moron.

i agree with you. having a cat makes me feel calmer and less judging towards people
