My 6 month old kitten has suddenly developed pink cheeks where her whiskers are. She just a moggy, no particular breed. She is predominantely white. Is she just 'developing' new markings or something? Does anyone know what this might be a sign of?

If you're talking about the fur turning a different color, that's not a vet problem. If you're talking about the fur thinning out so much you can see the skin underneath, then you might want to schedule an appointment at the vets.

If you see anything strange, the best thing to do is take kitty to the vet. Sometimes a cat's markings become more evident as it gets older, but I'd still get it checked out. Sometimes a fungus such as ringworm can make a kitten's face look like that. If it is ringworm, you could catch it from your kitten. So don't kiss kitty until you get it checked out!

I think it's just a stage because all of my kittens had pinkish cheeks but if your really worried about it take your kitten to a vet to make sure.
