What model did ford run,prior to the Thunderbird's ???

The LTD 2 was ran before the Thunderbirds before that the Torinos!!!!!

In the era('72 to present) from what ive looked up it was the Torino. Before that Ford ran all types of cars.(Thunderbirds,Torino's,Montego's etc).

I thought it was the Torino, but I didn't look it up. There could have been another model in between.
