I will just state this, my fiance's friends and bar buddies decided that it was "okay" to try to beat up my friend. He is an international student.. doesn't drink that much.. and puked in "their" bar. Everyone says "he has an attitude" (most gentle creature you could imagine), but they want to beat him up because he puked a bit in their bar.
I'm really Pi$$ed at my fiance for taking up for them. What would you do if you were in this situation?
A) It's the bartenders job to clean it up B) it's my fiance's friend and bar buddies creating a BIG situation C) My friend is the nicest person you could meet.
His best man is even in on this!

I'm not biased at all. I just don't know how to deal with my fiance. Why does he take up for these idiots/scumbags/degenerates/thugs?

Well, I can honestly say this:
He wouldn't be my fiance anymore after something like this. He's showing a violent side to him. He's shown that he's not above beating up another person, which is a felony in the US. It's called assault. He's lucky your friend doesn't decide to press charges.
What are you going to do when he decides that it's "okay" to beat you up? He'll justify it by saying you "had an attitude" or you had it coming.
Get out of this relationship...NOW!

"Why does he take up for these idiots/scumbags/degenerates/thugs?"
Why do YOU take up for him? I know you're SAYING you think it's wrong, but you're still with him and still planning on marrying him. What can you possibly find attractive about a person like this?
Let me put it this way. He's keeping up his nice guy face for you now. After the wedding, you are HIS. This is how many men think, in terms of possession and territory - by the sound of it ("their bar") this is exactly the kind of person you are marrying. This kind of behavior is very likely to be turned on you after you're married, it will be perfectly fine to slap you in line now and then if you need it.
Is this what you want?

I don't like the whole thing. These guys talk it over and decide to beat someone up? That's just wrong. For me, this has nothing to do with who the poor intended target it, and alot to do with the violence. I dated a guy once and saw him get into a fight, and I never liked him after that. I just don't want anything to do with people who are violent. Sorry, that would actually be a deal breaker for me.

WOW after reading what youve said, I think your man and his buddies are overflowing with too much testosterone! If its such a big deal why dont they have him clean it up himself. Its not professional! Yes they are creating a huge situtaion and are trying to make themselves to big bad boys against an international student... Seriously girl thats just not right, you need to protect your friend!

He wouldn't be my fiance any longer if he had this kind of attitude. Obviously not mature enough to be starting life as a married man.

I'd question my choice in Fiances. Seriously. If he knows that this person is important to you, why would it matter what he did in his bar? People make mistakes, people drink too much....if it causes this much trouble BEFORE the marriage, imagine how LOVELY it will be afterwards....

I could not marry someone that said "I'm going to beat someone up" for anything, especially someone who puked in the bar...
That reminds me of all of the douchebags I met in college that I hated.

Because he is one himself. Are you sure you want to marry this guy?

Has this changed the way you view your FH as a human being? Do you see him as less than you did before? What will he be imparting to your children?
