No... the pain and itching that Preparation H is used for is dilated blood vessels. Eczema is dry skin. You need to moisturize daily... and go see your doctor. They will prescribe a steroid cream for the itch and inflammation of eczema.

I am trying the preparation H cream for eczema. I'm tired of all the cortisone, I have changed my diet and I am going cold turkey of the cortisone. I think my skin is addicted to it. I have used all of them and even Elidel. I've done the soaps lotions, shots. The only time in my life when it was better was when I couldn't afford a doc and had nothing but natural remedies and in all honesty I went through a season of complete ugley. Swollen eyes scales, putting my face in ice water cause it felt like I was on fire. But I had no choice I soaked in a tub of cool water with a bottle of apple cider vinegar weekly then olive oil. I ran everyday to make myself sweat and get my oil glands working, increased my omega 3. In 6 months I was clear. I remarried moved to Minot ND and couldn't run, my diet changed and now I had insurance so I went to the Doc and they gave me a shot and the roller coaster ride has started again. I am now back in the South and started thinking about when I was clear and put it together. Hind sight being 20/20; started looking for some evidence based practice and found out that eczema is usually cleared after your teens. I found out that there is such a thing as the skin becoming addicted to the cortisone. I have also found out that people have been using Preperation H for the face for a while. If you think about it, if it is gentle enough for the genitals and the nerve endings are swollen there, that's what going on with the swelling on the face. I also learned that as you come off the cortisones you could have a flare anywhere on your body. Check out this link and pick your doc's brain about it. Google red face cortisone or cortisone addiction. Take your doc the info and educate him. There are other ways to deal with the eczema. http://redskinrecoverydiary.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

Typically, skin conditions such as eczema have to do with poor dieting. Learn here https://tr.im/gUyeC
Eczema food triggers such as eggs, fish, peanuts, and soy are known to help reduce flare-ups, but this can vary from person to person. These foods may also exacerbate eczema because many people cannot properly digest the proteins, which causes an allergic reaction.

I have eczema also. I use hydrocortizone and eucerin calming cream. Just get a small container and combine equal amounts of the 2. It works for me.

Check the active ingredients, if it contains some type of hydrocortison then it should be ok on the eczema, if there is something else in there who knows if it will help or make it worse.

You really need to read "Rosacea Free Forever" by Laura Taylor (also available in electronic format here: http://www.rosaceafreeforever.info ). It's about how to permanently cure your Rosacea naturally. I cured my Rosacea permanently in only 4 days after reading this.

Stop paying paying each month good money on creams. This is exactly what the pharmaceutical industry wants you to do! They want to milk money from you each month.
