Religious Q here.
The music at stores is rock and raving music playing discouraging you from buying. Christmas cards now are whimsical and have reindeer, dogs or other subject matter not pertaining to the holiday. Cards are not being sent like they used to.
Who or what is trying to end Christmas?
Please don't say retail, because they want to make the money.

The world has gone mad. Yes, that is my opinion. You can't do anything now without people taking offence! Celebrate Christmas the way you normally do and to hell with other people! You and I and everyone else are entitled to our beliefs and if anyone is offended by that - to bad! I cannot understand why people are so upset by people celebrating what they believe in. I am not upset by people believing different from me so why should they be upset at other peoples beliefs? Merry Christmas.

Retail is consumer driven so they are responding to what people are buying. Christmas music can either put people in a shopping mood or can be overkill if it's played too soon. I don't think they're trying to end Christmas. Actually sales are up in the 4th quarter. With the advent of the internet and ecards I think paper cards have gone by the wayside. It's easier to send a card off the net and less wasteful in terms of paper. There's a science to retail. They do and play what drives sales.

it is 10% of the people in this country that have thin skin and can not stand to let the other 90% celibrate as they please.
I order my religous Christmas cards from Guideposts. I have my manger scene up in the front yard.
If you want to have a smile without being rude or crude send a Christmas card to the ACLU 125 Broad St. 18th Floor New York, NY 10004.

Nobody's trying to end Christmas. What you are experiencing, in fact, is your own unhappiness that other people are trying to enjoy it. You see, what is happening is that more and more people are enjoying the festive time in the darkest time of year. The thing that bothers you is that you don't have a lock on it.
I hear Christmas music almost everywhere I go. I see all kinds of crap out there that is "pertaining to the holiday." Evidently you think reindeer and whimsy don't pertain to the holiday -- I disagree, and obviously so to millions of others.
Nobody's trying to end Christmas -- but people are not allowing you and those few people who believe exactly what you believe to keep it all to yourselves.

Christmas was a originally an occasion called "Saturnalia" - a Roman orgy. I'm NOT making this up - you can easily verify this for yourself. Christians "borrowed" the date, just like they "borrowed" a lot from other religions - this is no secret.
No one really has an honest clue as to when (or even IF) Jesus was born - you either believe or you don't. I don't - too many history books.

Not sure what you mean exactly, although I find it humorous and somewhat fitting that "Harry Potter" is being seen as a big Christmas item.
I am a Christian, as such I don't celebrate Christmas as it is a pagan holiday.

Christmas is not ending, it is just changing. Roll with the times.
Christmas is changing into what society needs it to be. It can't stay the same for 50 years, our values and beliefs have changed since then.
