obviously not everyone does, but yes, a large majority of people do...i just went last spring break...and really dont like cigarette smoke...that part of the trip was just awful...and yeah,,,they had wine for every dinner...

i'm french and not all the frenchmen smoke cigarettes (5€ the pack of 20 cigs)...and drink wine...we drink beer, tequila , whisky , vodka...and non alcoolic drinks like english and french canadian... it's a "cliché"...
