I think that the real purpose of this forum is to find out answers to questions. In religious cases, since it's not a science, then there really is no correct answer. So everyone gives what they believe. I think for the Religion & Spirituality forum to be successful, everyone from different religions should give their beliefs. Then the asker can decide for themselves.
Plus, I see more atheists and agnostics here than any other religion here.

Why is it when Christians answer and ask questions they are trying to spread their gospel and when atheists do it they are just engaging in conversation and participating in an online forum?
I think that this message board is very disproportionately atheist in comparison to how society really is and it might give some atheists and agnostics a skewed view of reality in terms of just how religious society still is.

Yes, they probably will.
When will silly emo-nihilistic-etc-atheists stop trying to spread anti-gospel? I mean, hot damn, almost every self-proclaimed atheist I've met is all uppity about it or just trying to piss off their parents. They take offense that someone might believe in a god. Srsly. Agnostics are cool, though. Smart, scientific belief systems get a thumbs up from me.
With that off my chest, LETS GOSPELIZE! I suppose my question is "Why not believe?" After all (forgive me, I can't remember who said what): If you believe in the religion with the worst hell possible, at least you won't end up there. Lets follow it up with pascals wager: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal's_Wager
Pretty simple trains of thought.

well dear ,, i ask nothing but to compare what is taught with what is in actuality true,, many christians today dont teach what is biblicaly sound .. yes i know they rant and rave about athiests going to hell and all that !
IT IS SAD ,, you know why?? ITS A LIE!! ITS A SCARE TACTIC! noone will ever be in the kingsom of GOD because they were scared ,, foolishness causes many to reject GOD out of hate, TRUTH is actually better than FICTION .. LOVE MORE powerful than hate!! truth!! GOD soo loved the world he gave!! fiction.. hell was created for sinners.. hell was created for the devil and his angels and as of yet doesnt exist. that is biblically sound!! . hell fire will also be hot enough to completely destroy ,disolve and remove all traces of sin, completely burned up .. turned to ashes, all of these are talked about concerning sin and sinners,,
the problem arise that some are over zealous and dont have the right knowledge .. they choose to use the bible as a weapon . a sword is used to destroy and protect though noone.. keeps burning in a pit somewhere for all ages of times,, a sword cuts away the fat divides the truth from a lie too,!
athiests why not use the bible against christians that say this? ,, it will show their utter disknowledge of what the bible actually says.. , your beloved brother ,, murray

well it is the goal for christians to be witness to the gospel by both words and actions, so i would say yes, some like it some don't. atheists and gnostics spread their opinions, to be fair allow christians to do the same.

They should eliminate Bullfighting and Horoscopes and add a freaking
Atheist/Agnostic/and Philosophical Religion section
They probably should make a Muslim section too. Every post about it has been some sort of angry Christian propaganda

I see atheists trying to spread their gospel all the time too. I'm not that religious but I do go to church occasionally. Why can't everyone just let other people be?
