Alright, so I have been getting chest pains lately, and they really freaking HURT! I went to my doctors and he said its probably stress.. He did a EKG and it came back normal...My mom said that its probably gas because I just switched to a vegetarian diet like 3 months ago..
I dont know what the hell it could be but it is FREAKING me out.. I am only 18 years old.. I actually JUST turned 18 two months ago.. What could seriously be wrong with my heart?
I am wondering what it could be, or what it could be from.. Like I said before, I just switched to a vegetarian diet 3 months ago.. I have been diagnosed with panic disorder.. so my anxiety is on the high right now and I am extremely depressed...
Oh! And today I was supposed to go get bloodwork done to make sure I dont have any deficiency's because of my diet, but I woke up extremely dizzy and with the worse stomach ache in the world.. Then the dizziness went away after like 7 hours and the stomach ache stayed..

And I got a really bad headache right above my left eye.. which only lasted for about an hour and my mom said that it was just a sinus headache.. Should I be worried about all of this stuff, or could it really just be because of my stress, anxiety, and depression? I worry myself so d*mn much...

No, I am not on medication for my panic attacks.. I refuse to take medication because of all the side effects and withdrawl symptoms.. I dont even have panic attacks anymore.. Now I just have really bad anxiety.. And I am not worried about having a heart attack.. I AM JUST WORRIED ABOUT MY HEART IN GENERAL!! I know what a panic attack/anxiety attack feels like and I am not having one.. I feel fine right now, except for the fact that I am getting really sharp pains in my chest that last for 2-3 seconds at a time..

Paula you are young, its not your heart. Especially when u have so many things in your favor: youth, eating right and access to doctors. U said your EKG came back normal, so u can find relief in that. U said you changed your diet so this could be an effect of u changing your diet, maybe your body is adjusting to it. ok? I get chest pains too, I got one so sharp yesterday it woke me up. I got scared but I trust God is not anything serious. Trust God and I believe is not anything serious. I'll pray for u tonite and if u feel that u need to see a doctor go and visit one so u can be more relaxed but dont keep adding stress to ur life because it will only make u sick. Take it easy, ok? Remember that depression and anxiety not only affect u mentally but also physically. Get better and God bless. You'll be in prayers.

Are you on medication for your anxiety? Medications for anxiety have horrible side effects. Your chest pain sounds like it has to do with anxiety. Try not to think about it or stress out. It will only make it worse. I too suffer from anxiety attacks and recently found a website that can help you deal with your panic attacks by taking natural supplements. It really works. I've been on it for a month now and feel better than ever. The website helps you get off of medication without the terrible side effects, but also can be used for people just wanting an alternative to medication. The website is www.theroadback.org

I started having chest pains when I was 18 and it lasted about a year. At first, I went to the hospital and the doctor said it was chest wall inflammation. Now I'm 20 yrs. old and I still get chest pains in the left side of my chest and it sometimes radiates to the back or under my left breast. And if you are overweight, then you should try to lose some weight. I have a little extra baggage myself and I know that being overweight contributes to this horrible feeling. Because back then when I was skinnier, I never felt anything bad. Now, I always get headaches, back pains, chest pains, pain in my ankles, feel tired all of the time, and lazy as hell. Sorry for writing so much! Good luck!:)

There is a strong chance that you are having an anxiety attack. I know it sounds ridiculous because those pains feel very real, but it is very common. If your doctor has already checked you out and given you the all clear then the best thing for you to do is relax and remember that. If this keeps happening, it may be that you need to get a prescription for emergency diazepam or Valium which would generally help in this kind of situation and also, identify the fact that you are subject to anxiety attacks and ask your doctor for something to combat that.

Okay first of all calm down! Secondly, you need to evaluate everything that you are putting in your mouth, medicines, vitamins, foods you just started trying. All these things can affect you. Do you exercise a lot? Lift weights, do push-ups? All these things can make your chest hurt and make you feel like you are having chest pains. You might also be having small panic attacks which mimic heart attacks and really freak you out, they cause vision loss, severe headaches, severe drowsiness. I know all this because this has happened to me and I went to my doctor and learned how to calm myself down. I also went on a mild anti-depressant/stress/anxiety medication and it really helped. Good luck, I'm sure you will be fine.

It is probably just your anxiety, etc. but do keep an eye on it. When I was 16 no one took it seriously that my side under my ribs was hurting. One night at a High School football game ( i was in band) i starting shaking and one of the band moms took my temp. and it was 105. My skin was turning yellow and they took me to the ER. It turns out I was gettin blood poisoning from my untreated gall stone and inflamed & infected gall bladder. They had to do emergency surgery on me!!
if you start running a fever definitely go! but for now you should be fine!!
PLUS, I have anxiety attacks a lot and that sounds very familiar!!! ;)

Don't take one doctor's answer! ever!
Load up on life insurance, and make beneficiaries of those you love most. That actually took a LOT of stress off my back.
NEVER take advice from only one source... find another doctor, and keep shopping until you find one who will try to help you.
I also have super-high anxiety, and i've been meditating to get rid of it.... it's really boring and hard to do, but it seems to work.
Another way to get rid of anxiety, is to try to eliminate the causes wherever possible. I was really stressed out about possibly losing my job, so i quit.... if the wife is pushing you toward a heart attack, get your own separate apartment.
Wives, girlfriends, family... nothing matters to you if you're dead. Feel free to make the changes necessary to save yourself, because everybody journeys to their death on their own.

Hypochondria will only make things worse - listen to your doctor's advice and try to relax.
You're only 18... there is no reason to panic or worry about a heart attack unless you have been going overboard on cholesterol from the time you learned to crawl.
