My cat, Frankie girl, Is in heat. I am starting to think that she is a lesbian though, Which is fine, I will love her either way :) BUT... Is it normal for her to try to suduce my female dog? My female dog, Liberty, seems to nuzzle up to her 'girlie parts'. I feel like I am a sick person to not always break them up when this starts happening. Should I seperate them or is it harmless. Anyone else have this problem? Frankie girl is a 1 year old calico and Liberty is a 1 year old Yellow lab.

Yes, it is perfectly normal in the animal world, as they have no acquired prohibitions. They will make up to anything and anybody.
I do hope you will consider having her spayed as there are far too many unwanted kittens as it is.

It's not a lesbian issue. Being in heat means she WANTS to be bred, and if no cats are around she'll try to encourage anything else that is in her general area that moves. Mine used to back up to my foot in the hopes I'd nudge her accidentally (she was spayed soon as she came out of heat! She was spraying she was so frustrated with the heat cycle).

They won't hurt each other, but do get your cat fixed once she's out of her heat cycle, she'll only keep going in and out of it constantly if you don't.

When a cat is in heat she is at the mercy of her raging hormones and will wave her hind parts against anything and even try to mount another cat. If you're bothered by this, why don't you get her spayed? She'll be a better pet.
