Deeds do not bring salvation. It's by grace that we are saved through faith. That faith is in Jesus Christ and what He accomplished on the cross to redeem us from sin. If doing good deeds could earn our salvation, why did Jesus die to win our salvation. We wouldn't have needed Jesus sacrifice if our good deeds could save us anyway. Where would the cut off point be? If a 1000 good deeds gets a person to Heaven, then fewer than 1000 would condemn a person to Hell? No, it doesn't work that way. Who determines what an actual good deed is? What one person considers a good deed another person may feel is no big deal. Even the best Christian you can think of, let's say somebody like Billy Graham, will say that their good deeds won't get them to Heaven. Only Jesus can do that.... And that is exactly what He did. Good deeds should definitely be done and should be a by product of being a good person. But, it is by the grace of God, His love for us that merits our salvation.

If you mean indulgences, yes a plenary indulgence is for example half hour Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, a partial indulgence is works of charity. Of course Baptism is the doorway. Confirmation and the Eucharist all lead us to salvation/holiness. Confession is a great sacrament pathway to salvation

There are no deeds that assures our salvation.
Only through believing in our hearts and confessing with our mouths, that Jesus Christ rose from the dead, shall we be saved.

Only acceptance of Jesus Christ as your savior- He already paid your sin debt in full - No deeds necessary! It is so wonderful to know God loves us that much to make it so easy to have salvation! It can never be taken away!

Yes, confess your sins, repent, and accept Jesus Christ as your saviour.
When Jesus agreed to die for our sins on the cross he died for all of our sins, but we have to accept him into our lives before that gidt can be obtained in full.
I can be nice to all the people I want. I can do all the good deeds in the world, but that would be the equivilant of trying to buy my way into heaven, and it just won't work like that.

NO. That said there are things you can do that might assist you in understanding salvation.
To understand salvation it may be necessary to comunicate with the Spirit that made all things. That is the only way I know but there may be others.

repent - sorry for the bad things you've done
confess- let the Spirit search your heart for all uncleaness. Ask Jesus to forgive (wash away) your sins, ask for and believe the gift of salvation He provided for us.
Romans
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

no good deeds of mine would fit me for salavation for all have sinned and fall short of eternal life the wages their of is death ,, the only pardon is accepting jesus own death on our behalf . and allowing him to be lord of our life,, just as the little lady befoehand pointed out the gift is their already ,, it wont do anyone any good unless it is 1. accepted , 2 , applied to their life... JESUS isnt in the buisness of forcing our will
W EEITHER love him and accept him as lord and savior ,, from sin now.. not in our sin ,, he came to take away our sin.. meaning we have to let him have alll of them not just some .
we teh n put on the LORD JESUS CHRIST through the indwelling oof the .. HOLY SPIRIT that actively takes part guiding our hearts and minds changing us from who we were into what JESUS wants us to become a-men blessings to all .. bro murray

Only one, to accept the free gift of salvation through Christ. The gift is yours, but just like if someone gives you a car and hands you the key, it won't do you any good unless you go start the car and use it, the free gift of salvation won't help if you refuse to accept it. God won't force anyone to heaven, but he will welcome all who accept His invitation.

no deed can get you to heaven. if there is a deed you could do then Jesus' death was pointless. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father but by Me.
