Is it considered showing off if you finish a final exam before everyone else, knowing that you did the best you could and checking your answers would be pointless? Should you wait for more people to turn in their papers, or should you just turn it in and get it over with?

Its most definitely not showing off. But in consideration for the rest of my classmates I'd wait until others turn their test in. I say this because, when I'm taking a test and I see that someone finished really quickly it distracts me, I wonder whethere he/she studied and knew everything, or if they are an idiot and just guessing. so, I wait a bit to turn in. PLus this prevents me from just sitting there and becoming paranoid.

Turn it in, but check your answers first. Since you have the time, you might as well check them, and sometimes having gone through the exam once might help you to think of more that you can put on a question. Or you might catch a mistake that you made.

Go ahead and turn in your test. It's not showing off. Most people are answering questions instead of watching to see who gets done first.

There is absolutely no reason to wait once you finish the exam. Turn it in, and if anyone has a problem with it, they are insecure.

It's not showing off unless you purposely draw other people's attention to. Just quietly pass up your exam and leave the examination room/hall. But as a teacher, I always tell my students to double check their answers, as it is human nature to make mistakes.

Who cares? You're done with your test, leave. They're not going to care if they finish before you, so why should you care if you finish before them. If you know the material better, oh well. Not everyone is the same speed.

i wouldnt think so. if you no the material and are confident in your answers, then your finished. turning it in before everyone else isnt showing off

for me it is not a race.... anywho, i'm too busy to notice who walks out early or who doesn't...... don't know if you are in college or not, but speak from my personal experience
